HeatherClan Book- Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Alliance Meeting

Goldenfur and Silverstar gathered Spottedleaf, Jayfeather, Moonflower, Sandpelt, Fernpaw, Willowpaw and Crookedpaw to go off to an alliance meeting with StormClan.

When they got to StormClan territory Silverstar and Goldenfur went off to discuss matters with the deputy and leader of Stormclan while the apprentices and Spottedleaf and Moonflower went off the other Stormclan apprentices. Eventually Moonflower and Crookedpaw went off with the StormClan queen and Spottedleaf and Jayfeather with the StormClan medicine cat, while Fernpaw and Willowpaw went off by a small clover-patch to talk.

"There he is," said Fernpaw dreamily.

"Who?" asked Willowpaw absent-mindlessly.

"Why Sparrowpaw, of course!" replied Fernpaw. "Isn't he amazing?"

Willowpaw stared. "You're falling for a Stormclan cat!" she accused.

"I am not!" objected Fernpaw.

"Isn't he AMAZING?" teased Willowpaw.

Just then, Sparrowpaw came over and Fernpaw looked away, the scent of embarrassment seeping from her.

"The meeting is over!" he called to them.

Crookedpaw glanced over at Willowpaw, who blushed, for Crookedpaw had been admiring Willowpaw ever since they were kits.

During the journey home Goldenfur fell back to join Fernpaw. "Is everything alright?" she asked. "You look moony."

Fernpaw sighed and meowed, "Do I?" then went over by Willowpaw.

When they returned back Goldenfur asked Willowpaw the same thing.

"She has a small liking for Sparrowpaw," Willowpaw admitted.

"Small?" doubted Goldenfur.

"Well. . . maybe it's a little bigger than that. Okay, so maybe it's a huge obsession with him," Willowpaw confessed.

"I thought so," meowed Goldenfur, "Isn't he from Stormclan?" she asked thoughtfully.

"Yes," mewed Willowpaw quietly.

"Hmmm," commented Goldenfur.

Willowpaw looked alarmed.

"I won't tell her, in case you're wondering," meowed Goldenfur quickly. "Fernpaw or Silverstar, I mean."

"Thank you," meowed Willowpaw. "May I go now?"

"Yes," agreed Goldenfur.
