Lynx Story- 3: Captured and Returned

Years passed, and slowly but surely, Star grew bigger and stronger. Soon she was winning all the play fights, she was the fastest, and she caught all the prey. Even Shadow seemed jealous. Then one day, tragedy happened. The tree's around the safe den started to fall over! Scared and caught by surprise, Star bounded out to confront the stranger. The stranger was standing on two legs! Strange. Thought Star. Suddenly, Star felt a sharp pain in her side. Then everything went black.

The next few moons were all blurry. Star caught only a few words. "...seems to be shocked..." "..take her back to the wild?..." "..seems all right..." "Agreed." The next thing Star knew, she was in the forest. Her home! Star soon found out that all her siblings were gone. To calm herself, Star went hunting.

Suddenly, she tripped over something hard. Glancing down, Star realized she had tripped over the leg bone of a dead deer that was half buried by earth.

Looking up, Star opened her mouth and tasted the air. If anyone was hiding nearby, they were hidden well.

Just as she was about to take a big, hungry bite, the bush behind her rustled. Star froze. Then, out stepped a fierce-looking male lynx with wet fur..
