Chapter 4: Home Again

All the cats split up when they returned to Heatherclan, the warriors returning to their den to tell the news to their friends, the apprentices off to their den to share their news with the other apprentices, and Goldenfur, Swanfeather and Moonflower went off to the nursery to check on their kits. When they got there they found Angelflame curled around their kits next to Dapplepaw and Minnowpaw.

"Sorry, these two were checking on the kits and found them shivering in a corner so they got me and we huddled next to them till you came back," apologized Angelflame.

"I'm not even close to Spottedleaf, but I think they would have died without you three here. Thank you so much," meowed Moonflower gratefully.

"Yes, thank you," added Goldenfur and Swanfeather.

"You're welcome," meowed the two apprentices in unison.

"Would you like me to get Spottedleaf?" suggested Dapplepaw. Goldenfur nodded. The three queens padded over to their kits and started grooming them. The other three cats left.

Later...

Icekit, Mousekit, Swallowkit were inside the medicine cat den with Spottedleaf and Jayfeather, because they looked the worse out of all the kits. Spottedleaf was checking them for sicknesses.

Suddenly, she gasped. "Jayfeather, get some catmint, quick! I think Icekit has whitecough!"
