Isabel's Journal: 8-14-16 to 1-1-17

October 14, 1916

The kittens have grown up and they can all walk now!  Hollykit was the first one to go to the bathroom outside, but Leafkit and Flowerkit are both improving.  Today, Lillian and Ivy came to shop at my store!  Ivy bought the most beautiful dress I sold, and Lillian bought a new parasol, commenting that it was much prettier than the last one she bought.  You can’t imagine how happy I am!  Oh, I see more customers already!  I must stop now.

December 19, 1916

I’ve been so busy, there wasn’t time to write!  I’ve made enough money for an automobile, and I shall buy one for Da on his birthday in ten days!  I shall buy a blue one, for that is his favorite color.


December 29, 1916

Da is simply delighted!  He promises to take me to the movie theater and watch the movie Intolerance.  He insists that we leave right away.  I must leave now, before he gets mad.  I wouldn’t want that to happen on his birthday!

The Battle With Sazar, The Evil Banana Head

One day, when Super Frog was in his pond resting and Super Kitten was by his side resting, the Evil Banana Head appeared. He captured Super Frog when both he and Super Kitten were sleeping. When Super kitten found out, Super Frog was already squashed under molten rock in the Evil Banana Head's' volcano. Super Kitten rushed to the rescue! She used her sensor power and sensed where Super Frog was. So, Super Kitten rushed very, very fast to the volcano. She rushed so fast she almost ran into a tree! Super Kitten also used her sensor power to sense where the volcano was. The volcano was deep in the forest. When Super Kitten got to the volcano, to save her time, she used her laser beam to laser all of the guards, and when all of the guards were dead, she used her laser beam so much that he had to lie down and couldn't get up again. Then Super Kitten used her last amount of energy to laser the rock between Super Frog and the rock on the top so she could pull Super Frog out. Super Frog couldn't get himself out because of the sudden heat; he had fainted. Since Sazar couldn't get up, Super Kitten sucked up all of his power so she could bury him with molten rock. Then she and Super Frog slept for a day in the volcano and the next day, they both went outside and smashed the volcano into millions of pieces and it was never seen again. Until the rise of Nakumara, at least, but I'll tell you about him later in the series. Much later.

The End

Super Frog and Super Kitten

Once upon a time, a tree frog and a newborn kitten who was wild were friends. Their names were Super Frog and Super Kitten. They played together everyday until the Canny Can Can man hurt Super Kitten. The Canny Can Can man is a can. When Super Frog heard about this he came saying, "Keep your tin off my friend!" But the Canny Can Can man didn't listen to Super Frog. Instead, he took her far, far away into his secret hideout cave. He tied her up on a big, big rock. But Super Kitten already healed up and said, "I am stronger than huge boulders and faster than a speeding cheetah!" As she said that, she broke the rope, smashed the Canny Can Can man with the big, big rock and escaped from his cave. When Super Kitten got out, Super Frog was already waiting for her. They helped each other smash the the cave into thousands of pieces and it was never ever seen again.

Lynx Story- 1: Mating

Part One: Mating

Night was falling, and when the young, female lynx woke up, the moon was already high in the sky; the crickets were singing their newly composed symphony. The female lynx stomach growled, so she crept out of her crowded den to hunt.

Blending with the shadows, the female lynx padded to a nearby grassland to hunt for unaware snowshoe hares sleeping in their burrows.

Suddenly, she tripped over something hard. Glancing down, the female realized she had tripped over the leg bone of a dead deer that was half buried by earth.

Looking up, the female lynx opened her mouth and tasted the air. If anyone was hiding nearby, they were hidden well.

Just as she was about to take a big, hungry bite, the bush behind her rustled. The female lynx froze. Then, out stepped a fierce-looking male lynx with wet fur. He had rolled in wet leaves to cover his scent. The male lynx started growling a warning growl but stopped when he discovered that the female looked as strong as he was-purrfect for a mate. The female padded tentatively up to him and nuzzled his side. The male lynx didn’t growl or push her away. Instead, he started purring! The two spent the next couple of minutes nuzzling, purring, and even grooming each other! Soon, the female lynx would have kittens.

Soon afterward, the male lynx helped the female find a place to build a new den since her old one was already too crowded. They quickly decided on a abandoned den under a rocky ledge. The den was well hidden by tall grass. Then, the female started preparing for the arrival of her babies. First, the female lynx gathered moss and cattail fluff for her bedding. Then, she collected dry grass and combed off her fur to line her bedding. Finally, the female picked the burrs out of her nest and settled down for a long nap. After a night of excitement, the female could barely keep her eyes open. Thinking of her soon-coming babies, she slowly drifted to sleep...
